Before you start your research think about the following:

• Develop a clear topic, thesis or question that your speech will answer and one that will help direct your research 
• Think of key terms or ideas from your topic to use in your search 
• Remember to use a variety resources! Books, magazines, journals, newspapers and database are all great places to get information.
