Your assignment is to create a digital infographic.  This may be done as a solo project where you focus on one Empire – Ottoman, Safavid, or Mughal.   It may also be a pair project where you and a partner compare or contrast two Empires, and you may choose any two.  

Materials: You may use your textbook, class notes, and the LibGuide.  You must check with Ms. Cassetta if you want to use other resources.

Format:  You may choose the format, and I recommend these as easy to work with.

The goal of an Infographic is to present information with both words and visuals so that the viewer gains a greater understanding of the subject. A piece of written information should always be accompanied by a visual.

1. For a Solo project you must include
   • At least two maps
   • A short biography of an important emperor with an image
   • Elements that relate the themes of History (Cultural, Political, Economic, Social, Environmental)
   • Several major events that occurred during the time of the Empire

2. For a Pair project you must include
   • At least three maps – and one map should show both empires
   •  A short biography of an important emperor with an image from each Empire
   • Elements that relate the themes of History (Cultural, Political, Economic, Social, Environmental) and clearly show how the Empires were similar or how they were different
   • Several major events that occurred during the time of the Empires that clearly show how the Empires were similar or how they were different

3.  You may want to consider using a timeline to show the order of events in your Empire, but this is not required.

4.  On a separate page, you need to include a bibliography of the sources you used.
