Salvation History

How do events in the Old and New Testament point towards God’s outpouring of love upon the world?  How do events that occurred hundreds and thousands of years before the birth of Christ point us towards his coming and God’s promise of salvation?

 

Create a video* explaining:

  1. Ten major events in salvation history. Choose ten from the list below. 
  2. mention and include a brief explanation/depiction of the events.
  3. why each event was a development in the relationship between God and humanity.
  1. Protoevangelium: God heralds coming victory over evil
  2. Noah: covenant to never destroy the earth again
  3. Abraham and Sarah: covenant to inherit Promised Land & have numerous descendants
  4. Moses in Egypt: Deliverance from slavery
  5. Moses in the Desert: 10 Commandments / the Law
  6. Joshua: conquering and settling the Promised Land
  7. Saul and David: God gives Israel a king; the next king unites tribes into a kingdom
  8. Isaiah: Israel conquered by Babylonians, and all Hebrews taken away in exile to Babylon; and later they return to Israel
  9. Maccabees: Jewish independence restored
  10. Jesus Christ: Paschal Mystery
  11. Peter / Paul / Mary Magdalene: spread of Gospel message and the Church
